João Miguel Medeiros, 51 years old, was born in Braga. He is currently Councillor for Education, Innovation and Social Cohesion in the Municipality of Braga.
His main goal is: ”You can get anything if you are willing to help enough others to get what they want.”.
He graduated in Communication at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa and has completed several short programmes at AESE - Lisbon Business School. He is currently doing a Post-Graduation in Management of Social Organisations in this institution.
In 2017, he won a grant from SANOFI, a global health company, for the development of a project related to bladder dysfunction in the context of Multiple Sclerosis, a disease he was diagnosed with in 2011. The project was recognised by the Patient Innovation platform of the Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics.
He is also author of several articles as patient advocate for the Multiple Sclerosis patient community in Europe.
He lives in Braga, in which he is proud to represent it anywhere in the world. He likes literature and a good social gathering where the debate of ideas may serve to increase knowledge and share well-being.
